XPENG X9 V2L power output: setup and safety
Use X9 V2L only with the approved stand-alone appliance arrangement and the exact supplied adapter instructions. The cited international handbook sets a 20% minimum reserve and says not to retry external discharge after a fault prompt.

Start here
- Confirm that V2L is fitted and approved for your exact X9/market and that the adapter and intended appliance are within their documented ratings.
- Park safely in dry suitable surroundings. Inspect the equipment and identify the normal start/stop controls before connecting.
- Connect the approved adapter and stand-alone appliance as the adapter specifies. When the X9’s discharge interface shows the device connected, tap Power supply limit beneath the vehicle picture to open Charging and Discharging. Choose a reserve that leaves enough for your next drive; the cited interface will not allow below 20%.
- Use Start supply when the actual interface shows it, and monitor the load and vehicle status rather than assuming a connected adapter guarantees supply.
- Use Stop supply before disconnecting, follow the adapter’s instructions and store the equipment dry.
What to expect: A compatible appliance receives stable power within the documented limits, and Stop supply ends it normally.
Never backfeed a household socket, consumer unit or building circuit, use improvised/damaged/wet equipment or depend on V2L for critical medical supply. Stop for abnormal heat, smell or electrical warning and do not retry a faulted discharge.
If that did not work
For a fault prompt, leave supply stopped and give XPENG the exact message, adapter and appliance rating. Ask for compatibility/fault diagnosis rather than reconnecting repeatedly; a reached reserve is a different state from an electrical fault.
