What to do

- On the CID open Charging and Discharging, then Charging.
- Select Charging Limit and choose the required target percentage.
- Confirm the new value on screen, then connect or continue charging.
- Check that charging stops at the target rather than assuming an app notification is exact.
- If the value later resets, check Battery Health Protection before treating it as a software fault.
Expected result
You should expect the following result when the documented route is successful: The CID retains the selected target for the charging session and charging ends at approximately that state of charge. The handbook states that Battery Health Protection can restore defaults after power-on: 90% for ternary-lithium vehicles and 100% for lithium-iron-phosphate vehicles.
If it still does not work
If the slider will not save, the target changes without Battery Health Protection, or charging repeatedly exceeds it, record the screen, XOS version, battery/trim description and whether the limit was set in car or app, then contact XPENG support.
Safety and model boundary
The percentages are handbook defaults, not a way to identify chemistry. Verify the exact vehicle specification. A charging limit is not a cure for a battery warning, heat event or damaged charging equipment.
