XPENG OTA update not showing? XOS and rollout checks
If no XPENG update is offered, check the full installed version and vehicle connection, then confirm eligibility for that exact car. An update that has not been offered is different from one that failed to install; repeated checking or reinstalling the app cannot assign a release.

Start here
- On the earlier UK G6, open vehicle settings → General, then tap the XOS version number at the top for the full build. Check System Update or its status-bar icon for an offered package. Other XPENG models and software layouts need their supplied handbook; a badge or registration year alone does not establish this route.
- Check the complete build and update-status wording. Identify no offer, download failure, unmet preparation conditions or failed installation.
- Confirm a working vehicle network connection so an assigned package can arrive. Compare the current app status once if relevant.
- If an update is offered, read its own notice and arrange the required charge, Park, locking and safe unused time. In the cited international editions the charge threshold is greater than 10%; a stricter vehicle notice takes priority.
- Only after successful completion, check the full new build and essential controls while parked.
What to expect: You know whether the car is waiting for an update, downloading it or reporting a fault. Restarting cannot make a car eligible for a release.
Do not use a vehicle after failed installation or interrupt an installing system, disconnect power, sideload a package, change region or attempt rollback. The vehicle cannot be used or charged during the cited installation process.
If that did not work
For no offer, ask XPENG to check the exact vehicle/build’s release assignment. For an installation failure, follow the displayed permitted Retry and seek support with the error if it fails again; do not test-drive to see whether it clears.
Find the update on these other exact editions
- P7+ 2026 English handbook, V5.9.5: open General and tap the XOS version at the top for its full build. Open System Update or the status-bar update icon. An offered package has Update Now → Confirm or Schedule Update → choose time → Confirm; Cancel Schedule applies before installation starts. Read the notice before choosing either.
- Original P7, 2023 English handbook: tap the XPENG logo on the status bar, or open About → Xmart OS, for System Information. View Details opens an offered release. This is an original-P7 route, not a P7+ route.
- G9 2025 English handbook, V5.6.0: its foreword places the system version under vehicle controls → General. Read the full version there and use the update notice actually present on the car. Its update chapter confirms installation conditions and Retry after failure, but not universal scheduling-button labels. Do not use the P7/P7+ paths as a substitute.
What to do with the status: if there is no package, keep the car connected and continue using its installed software normally. If downloading is incomplete, check the vehicle connection and the displayed retry/pause status. If installation is waiting for a condition, meet that exact condition before the reserved time. A failed installation is the separate stop/recovery case above. Repeated resets, changing account region or copying another car’s file cannot assign an update.
