XPENG G6 Boot Space: Capacity, Access and Load Planning

XPENG’s New G6 UK information lists 571 litres with the rear seats in use and 1,374 litres folded. Check the opening, occupied-seat arrangement, load limits and your actual equipment; volume alone cannot confirm a buggy or mobility aid fits.

XPENG G6 boot capacity, access and safe load-planning guide

Test the opening before total volume

  1. Measure the widest, tallest and longest regular item.
  2. Set front and rear seats for normal occupants.
  3. Measure the tailgate opening, usable floor and height below the cover.
  4. Place charging cables and emergency equipment in their normal storage.
  5. Test the real pushchair, wheelchair, pet crate or cases where permitted.

Check everyday usability

Open the powered tailgate in the normal parking space. Inspect the load lip, lighting, tie-down points, parcel-shelf storage, underfloor area and folded-seat shape.

Payload still matters

Passengers, luggage and accessories all count toward payload. Use the UK vehicle plate and documents. Secure heavy items low and forward and never exceed axle, roof or towing limits.

Decision standard

The boot works only if required equipment fits with all intended occupants correctly seated, visibility remains safe and the tailgate closes without force.

Set the powered boot opening height

For the original UK G6, open the boot in clear space, pause it at the desired angle with the internal boot switch and hold that switch until the confirmation sound. Close and reopen once to verify the saved stop. The handbook also lists Window & Door → Boot Unfolding Angle Memory. Measure the lid’s highest outside point over its whole path before entering a garage; a stored stop alone does not establish clearance. The UK G6 height-memory and recovery guide covers a lid that reverses or will not retain the setting.
