XPENG G9 XOS OTA Updates: International-Market Safety Guide

For the matching international G9, open the software-update notification actually offered by the car and read its installation conditions before confirming it. The 2025 English handbook requires more than 10% charge, Park and a safe location; follow any stricter on-screen condition.

XPENG G9 — international-market XOS OTA update safety guide

This follows the 2025 international G9 handbook. Check that the supplied handbook and controls match your own G9.

What to do

  1. Park where the G9 can remain unavailable, read the offered release notes and meet the battery/connection requirements. Complete necessary charging separately.
  2. Open the car’s offered update notification and read the package details, estimated time and unmet conditions. Use the installation or scheduling action shown on that notice only after the conditions are met. If there is no notice, the car is not ready for an installation attempt: keep its vehicle connection working and check its update status rather than loading a file manually.
  3. If you scheduled it, read back the reserved time before leaving and use the notice’s available cancellation/rescheduling option only before installation begins. The cited G9 handbook says a started installation cannot be aborted; waiting for completion is different from changing a future reservation.
  4. Leave a started installation undisturbed. After completion, confirm the full build and check profiles, phone pairing, navigation permissions, charging target and relevant assistance settings while parked.

What to expect: The offered package completes and the car reports the expected full build, with required settings checked before use.

The car cannot be used or charged during installation, and a started update cannot be interrupted. Do not use the vehicle after an installation failure or try a forced restart, power disconnect or unofficial rollback.

If that did not work

Separate failed download, failed installation and no offer. For failed installation, use only the permitted on-screen Retry; if it fails again, give XPENG the error, full version, time, charge and connection and request recovery/assistance. For no offer, ask for exact model/hardware/market eligibility rather than forcing a release.

This international G9 procedure does not establish a G9L or later UK-market software configuration. Match the supplied handbook and release notice; another owner’s rollout is not individual-car eligibility.
