Quick answer
Enable the fitted front or second-row wireless charger in Charging and Discharging, Power Supply. Place the phone screen-up and slide it to the bottom along the limit bar. The handbook says compatible pads provide up to 50 W with air cooling; wrong position can prevent charging or cause excess heat.
Before you start
Confirm your X9 actually has the relevant pad and the phone supports Qi charging. Remove the case, cards, coins, magnetic accessories and moisture. Let an already-hot phone cool before retesting.
- Correct front/second-row pad enabled in CID.
- Screen faces upward.
- Phone rests at the bottom limit bar.
- Cooling outlet is uncovered and dry.
What to do
Before you start, read the complete sequence. Follow these steps in order and stop if the vehicle shows a stronger warning than the one described here.
- Open Charging and Discharging on the CID, choose Power Supply and enable the fitted wireless charging position.
- Place the bare phone screen-up on the correct pad.
- Slide it fully to the bottom along the limit bar so the coil aligns and cooling airflow reaches it.
- Watch for the charging icon. If charging cycles, make one small alignment adjustment and test another compatible phone.
- Remove the phone immediately if a metal-object alert appears or heat becomes excessive.
Expected result
You should expect the following result when the documented route is successful: The CID displays charging and the phone maintains it without repeated start/stop cycles. Mild warmth can be normal, but the cooling outlet should not be obstructed and the phone should not become dangerously hot.
If it still does not work
If two compatible bare phones fail on an enabled, clean pad, stop using it and contact service. If only one fails, check that phone’s charging, temperature and battery-protection settings.
Safety and model boundary
No liquid or metal belongs in the pad. Do not leave a phone charging unattended in the parked vehicle. Observe medical-device separation advice. Second-row charging is equipment-dependent, so absence of the control can be normal for a derivative.

What to record before asking for help
Write down the model, model year, current XOS version and the time the problem occurred. Add the exact display wording, the last action that worked and the outcome of each safe check above. For charging issues include the charger type and its indicator; for access issues include the key method used. Do not include a VIN, registration, account password, PIN or verification code in a public post.
Why this matters: menu names, hardware and behaviour can change with market, model year and XOS version. Record the exact wording shown by the car before contacting support. That gives a service adviser a reproducible symptom instead of a general description.
