Before paying a deposit
- Write down the exact variant: Standard Range, Long Range or Performance AWD.
- Obtain the dated UK specification and confirm paint, trim, wheels, seats and options.
- Ask which display-vehicle features are optional or market-specific.
- Get an insurance quotation using the exact vehicle and intended drivers.
- Confirm the deposit terms, delivery window and total on-the-road price in writing.
Prepare for collection
- Arrange insurance and payment only through verified retailer details.
- Download the official XPENG app directly from Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
- Prepare the home charger or a safe first public-charging plan.
- Ask the retailer to have every key, cable, manual and promised accessory ready.
- Book enough handover time to inspect and test the vehicle properly.
Inspect the delivered vehicle
- Match the VIN and registration to the paperwork.
- Inspect paint, glass, wheels, tyres, seats and load area in good light.
- Photograph and record any concern before leaving.
- Test both keys and bind the app while retailer support is present.
- Record the complete XOS version and ask about approved pending updates.
- Test the charging flap, cable and basic AC charging procedure.
- Check lights, cameras, washers, climate, seats, doors and tailgate.
- Set a driver profile and review units, time zone, privacy and assistance settings.
Before driving away
Know how to select Park, apply the parking brake and end charging safely. Save breakdown and retailer contacts. Put every defect, missing item or promised remedy in writing; a verbal promise is not a handover record.
This checklist does not replace the UK owner’s handbook. Controls and connected features must be confirmed on the delivered vehicle because software and specification can change.
