Quick answer
Put the P7+ in P, switch the wipers off and open Vehicle on the central display. Enable Front Wiper Maintenance Mode. The arms move into a position where the front blades can be serviced.
Before you start
Close the front compartment and driver door fully, protect the glass and verify the replacement blade. Keep another person away from the controls while an arm is lifted.
- P selected.
- Wipers and rain sensing off.
- Doors and front compartment closed.
- Correct connector and blade length confirmed.
What to do
Before you start, read the complete sequence. Follow these steps in order and stop if the vehicle shows a stronger warning than the one described here.
- Open Vehicle on the central control screen and enable Front Wiper Maintenance Mode.
- Wait for the arm to stop, then lift it gently while supporting the spring force.
- Press the blade lock and pull the blade upward as illustrated in the handbook.
- Insert the replacement in reverse until a clear click confirms engagement.
- Lower the arm carefully, switch maintenance mode off and test using washer fluid.
Expected result
You should expect the following result when the documented route is successful: Both arms return to the parked position, the blade remains locked and the screen clears without impact, chatter or a large missed area.
If it still does not work
Recheck P, wiper-off state and door/bonnet closure if the menu will not operate. Never force the arm. Use a technician if the connector will not lock, the arm parks incorrectly or the motor makes an unusual noise.
Safety and model boundary
Do not let the bare arm hit the glass or switch the mode while an arm is lifted. Screen wording may change by XOS version and the 2026 English handbook may not match every market derivative.

What to record before asking for help
Write down the model, model year, current XOS version and the time the problem occurred. Add the exact display wording, the last action that worked and the outcome of each safe check above. For charging issues include the charger type and its indicator; for access issues include the key method used. Do not include a VIN, registration, account password, PIN or verification code in a public post.
Why this matters: menu names, hardware and behaviour can change with market, model year and XOS version. Record the exact wording shown by the car before contacting support. That gives a service adviser a reproducible symptom instead of a general description.
