XPENG G9 TPMS warning and calibration after a tyre change
First check every cold tyre pressure against the label on your G9. After a tyre change, the cited handbook’s automatic calibration requires more than 17 minutes stationary, followed by 10 minutes above 40 km/h on a safe, lawful route while avoiding reversing.

Park safely and inspect the tyre before adding air. A tyre that is visibly low, damaged, hot, bulged or losing pressure needs tyre assistance, not a calibration drive. Use an accurate gauge and the pressure label for the exact wheel/tyre fitment.
- Correct the pressures to the vehicle placard; do not use a pressure copied from another G9 or the tyre sidewall maximum.
- Drive normally only if every tyre is safe. The handbook’s calibration context first requires the vehicle to remain stationary for more than 17 minutes. Only after the physical tyre checks are satisfactory, use a safe, lawful route for 10 minutes above 40 km/h while avoiding reversing.
- After the drive, park and recheck the displayed values and warning.
- If a pressure drops again, stop treating it as calibration and arrange leak or valve diagnosis.
What success looks like
After correct pressures and the required drive, the displayed values should stabilise and a replacement-related calibration warning should clear. Pressure changes with temperature are normal; a persistent difference or repeat loss is not.
Never drive a damaged, deflating or unsafe tyre to clear a warning. Road, traffic and tyre safety take priority over the calibration pattern; arrange tyre assistance if needed. The handbook prohibits private TPMS modification.
If that did not work
A persistent “TPMS system fault” after correct pressures needs a sensor/system check; another calibration drive will not repair a leaking tyre.
Ask the tyre installer or service centre to check for leakage, correct sensor fitment and the specific TPMS fault; give it all four readings, the changed wheel and exact warning.
