An alert is not proof of damage
XGuard alerts prompt you to review available evidence. Reflections, weather, close pedestrians, vibration or nearby movement can all be relevant, so check the context before drawing a conclusion.
Review an unclear event
- Park and review the recording only when it is safe to concentrate on the display.
- Match the alert timestamp to every available camera angle.
- Review the seconds before and after the marked event.
- Physically inspect the vehicle before assuming that contact or damage occurred.
Check the system
- Inspect camera areas for rain, dirt, glare, condensation or an accessory blocking the view.
- Confirm that recording storage is available.
- Note the complete installed XOS version.
- Try one controlled parking period in a quieter, well-lit location.
- Change only one documented sensitivity or recording option at a time, then compare the result.
What to record for support
Keep the timestamp, alert category, weather, type of parking location and whether movement, vibration or another vehicle was visible. Preserve original recordings where possible; a short set of comparable examples is more useful than saying that it happens often.
Privacy and escalation
Avoid publishing identifiable people, number plates or private conversations. Contact XPENG support if repeat alerts occur in controlled conditions, files are corrupt, cameras fail or storage warnings persist. Report actual damage or immediate danger through the appropriate police or emergency route.
