XPENG G6 child locks and Baby-in-Car Mode
On a G6 matching the 2025 English RHD handbook, open Window & Door → Baby-in-Car Mode for the rear-door and passenger-window locks. On the earlier UK handbook layout, open Window & Door and use its separate Rear Left Child Lock, Rear Right Child Lock and Window Lock controls.

Check the door locks and window lock separately while parked. An adult should supervise from outside when you test a rear door.
Set and check the locks
- Park safely with both rear doors closed. Decide whether you need the rear-door locks, the passenger-window lock or both; explain the setting to adult rear passengers.
- Enable the required rear-door locks. On the 2025 RHD layout, use Window & Door → Baby-in-Car Mode. On the earlier UK layout pictured below, use Window & Door → Rear Left Child Lock / Rear Right Child Lock. The matching shortcut panel can also switch the child locks.
- Enable Window Lock separately if needed. It is in Baby-in-Car Mode on the 2025 RHD layout and on the earlier UK Window & Door panel. A disabled passenger window does not establish that its door is child-locked.
- Check the active setting on screen. With an adult controlling the outside handle, verify each protected rear door does not open from its inside electric release.
- If Window Lock is selected, check that the affected passenger switches no longer move the glass while the driver retains control. Check normal outside door access with the car safely unlocked.

Success: the selected inside releases/window switches are disabled and the screen shows the intended settings.
Test with adults, never by asking a child to pull a handle. Child locks do not replace a suitable restraint or supervision; never leave a child alone in the car.
If a selected rear-door lock does not work
Keep a child out of that seat until the setting and door have been checked. Give XPENG support the affected side, a photo of the Baby-in-Car screen and the full XOS version; request a check of that door’s child-lock operation. If neither control layout matches, keep the affected child-lock setting unverified and give XPENG a photo of the actual menu and full XOS build so it can identify the correct control for that car.
