Before attempting calibration
- Park safely, select Park and keep the vehicle powered on.
- Close every door and remove obstructions from the window and seat travel paths.
- Stop if movement is jerky, noisy, hot, visibly misaligned or physically restricted.
Initialise a window when one-touch closing or anti-pinch has failed
- Using that window's switch, pull lightly to position I (manual lifting) until the window is fully closed.
- Keep it fully closed for 3 seconds, then release the switch.
- Press the switch firmly to position II (automatic lowering), then release it so the window opens fully.
- Pull the switch firmly to position II (automatic lifting), then release it so the window closes fully.
- Complete the full-open and full-close steps consecutively and within 15 seconds.
- Test automatic opening and closing once. If both work normally, the handbook says initialisation has succeeded.
Do not test anti-pinch with a hand, person or valuable object. If one-touch or anti-pinch still fails, stop using the automatic function and arrange qualified inspection.
Initialise a front seat when its controls are abnormal
- Move the backrest-angle switch forward until the backrest reaches its foremost position, then release it.
- Move the switch forward again, confirm the backrest is still at the foremost position, then release it.
- Within 5 seconds, move the switch forward a third time and hold it for more than 5 seconds before releasing it.
- If the seat begins adjusting itself, leave the controls alone and wait until all movement stops before using the seat.
The window and seat procedures are separate. These steps follow the XPENG G6 UK handbook's printed pages 289–290; controls can differ after software or hardware changes, so use the handbook for the exact vehicle if its behaviour differs.
Arrange service when
There is misalignment, unusual noise, smell, water ingress, repeated reversal or a persistent restraint, door, seat or window warning. Record the affected control, position, conditions, XOS version and whether the fault followed a power interruption or update.
