XPENG states that supported vehicles can receive over-the-air updates using Wi-Fi or the vehicle’s mobile connection. The important questions are which package applies to your exact car, whether its rollout has reached your vehicle and how to install it safely.
Confirm eligibility and the installed version
- Park safely and open the vehicle’s software-information screen.
- Record the complete XOS version, not only a number quoted by another owner.
- Check the official update area and read the release notice shown by your vehicle.
- Confirm that the package is intended for the correct model and market.
Rollouts can be phased by model, hardware, market or vehicle group. Another owner receiving an update first does not prove that your vehicle has a fault.
Prepare before installation
- Park somewhere secure where the car can remain locked and unavailable.
- Meet the battery and connectivity conditions shown on screen.
- Allow more time than the estimate.
- Do not begin shortly before an essential journey.
